Adding and Removing a Device in AIX and HP_UNIX

AIX: # cfgmgr :  Execute configuration manager.

HP_UNIX: # ioscan : Running hardware scan on the box.

AIX:  # rmdev -dl <Device name> : Command to remove a device.

HP_UNIX: # rmsf -a <Device path (/dev/dsk/c2t0d0)

AIX: # mkdev -l <Device name> : To bring the device active or # cfgmgr.

HP_UNIX: # insf -e and then run # ioscan

AIX : # lsdev -Cc <Class> -d <Device name> -F Parent : View the parent of the device.

HP_UNIX: # ioscan
